A bathroom makeover is probably one of the things
you will be doing during your life. That's if you do not overlook
your bathroom like many people do! It is often seen as space
utilized for inconveniencies, but we actually spend a lot of time

For the bathroom makeover to be successful you will
have to paint the whole bathroom and the ceiling in a deep color.
Deep colors will make the room seem cozy and warm, therefore making
your time spent there more enjoyable.
If you are struggling to get rid of the clutter under the sink (like most of
us), add a few baskets from your local pawn shop and cover it up. A large drawstring bag would work
very well to throw in that dirty laundry. |

Also try and give the mirror a makeover by dressing it up with a "frame".
Hang swags of fabric from cup hooks to hide and soften the edges of the mirror, and to give it a “frame”.
You can also use cut lengths of 1x4 lumber, and attach them to the wall that
will cover the edges of the mirror to simulate a real wood frame. You can paint them as well to coordinate with your cabinets.
Interested in giving the cabinets a quick redo? By painting them black you
will give them a sophisticated look, or even white with sponge painting to
emphasize a country theme. You can also paint the Formica counters. Make sure
you clean them well and use a special primer first such as BIN or KILZ. After
cleaning the counters seal them with 4-6 coats of polyurethane after the paint dries.

Do not forget to add some detail to the bathroom. Sew fabric edging to
add to the towels detail, throw in a shell for a soap dish, and
hang up a modern shower curtain to cover the vinyl one. You can
also hang a calendar on the wall with pictures of different
seasons, or perhaps of a faraway place you can dream about as you soak away your cares
and try and relax after a hard days work.
Light a candle or two and fill the bath with
bath salt and enjoy the aroma of your new bathroom!
